Stainless steel is antagonistic, via galvanic corrosion response, to sheet steel coated with hot dip aluminum-zinc alloy anti-corrosion coating – the base metal component of RoofGlory roof panels and accessory components. Corrosive reaction is further exacerbated by moist, humid climate zones and near coastal marine environments. RoofGlory lab research documents this reaction having an adverse effect on its roof system anti-corrosion properties over time as it accelerates the eventual dissipation of the anti-corrosion alloy coating.
RoofGlory continues to recommend the use of our stock RoofGlory ferrous steel fastener with triple-coat anti-corrosion protection, available in silver finish and color painted head fastener finishes that are compatible with our RoofGlory stone coat color blends.
